Driven by fury and bloodlust, these killing machines are part of Hell’s middle tier. Not many can match their physical attributes, but what they have in muscles everywhere else, they lack between the ears.

Holy… Facing Phac was a nightmarish form. Its wide legs ended in hooves, much like the goatee devil he’d once fought, but that’s where the similarities ended. The bare-chested monster stood upright like a human, but its head was that of a bull’s, twin horns almost scratching the tall room’s ceiling. Its flesh was blood-red, and covering its privates was a taut pair of brown shorts while, in its right hand, the creature brandished a humongous greatax. Black fur covered the lower half of its body and, for eyes, it only had two slits, glowing red.

Looking at the thing’s arms that were almost as wide as his own body, Phac gulped once again. How am I supposed to fight this?

As soon as the creature appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, the ten-by-five-meter room suddenly felt much more crowded. Bending its body, the minotaur opened its mouth and roared right in Phac’s face, spit and hot air enveloping him along with a nauseating, bloody stench as if he was facing Hell’s cauldrons themselves. The roar itself slammed into him right after, the wind and shock forcing Phac to take another step back as the entire building and a part of Salom were enveloped in the violent sound.

Phac brought his hands to his ears, shaken, while Rain, who still stood by the door, shivered as he stared at the fiend. “That’s a big-ass motherfucker…” he muttered.

Facing the minotaur’s teeth up close and personal, Phac gulped. “I don’t suppose we can settle this peacefully?” he asked, and the minotaur grinned.

“Watch out!” a cry came from behind.

Phac heard the whooshing of wind. Realizing that the horned devil’s weaponless arm was out of sight, he braced himself for the impending attack as best as he could, crouching and guarding his head in the direction he expected the blow to come from. Immediately, his defending arm was smashed by something fast and heavy, his elbow colliding with his ribs due to the impact. Phac was sent flying and crashed into a wall.

“Motherfucker, that hurt,” he muttered, looking at his bruised, fortunately not broken, arm. His ribs, however, weren’t so lucky. A sharp pain came from his right side every time he moved. They might not be broken, but something had definitely cracked. He could still move due to the adrenaline, but it hurt like hell. He gritted his teeth.

He was outclassed.

The minotaur laughed, a sound so broken and deep it sounded more like an evil cult’s gong. Then, it charged.

“Fu—” was all Phac had time to yell before the beast was upon him, swinging its greatax, and the Crab Fighter didn’t think for a moment that he could survive that. Luckily, the minotaur was strong but not prohibitively fast.

Phac ducked under the blow, then sidestepped the next one. He had survived, but for how long? Dodging was possible, but a single mistake would be enough to end him.
